  1. Colorado block. Looks really cool.
  2. I am working on a pinwheel and hourglass quilt for my mother in law...... is my second big project and I am sooooo pleased at how it's turning out :)
  3. Blue log cabin on white background with triple border and embroidered leaf design all over. (I designed them and my grandmother quilted)
  4. just squares. it's the only one I've ever made. mostly red. I love it.
  5. I don't make quilts...I build dollhouses!...yeah, redneck bikers do that!
  6. I'm doing a Lone Star with Baltimore Album blocks as corner pieces right now. It's going very slowly. The star is finished but drafting the applique blocks is proving very difficult.
  7. The only things I can do with a quilt are Appreciate them, and Sleep under them. I even use a quilt in the Summer. I can't make them, however. The Quilting Gene skipped me.
  8. Several quilters in my family are working on a heart hug quilt for my aunt. We're paper piecing six inch hearts in various shades of blue with light colored backgrounds. We'll alternate them with six inch squares of light fabrics. The last one we finished was a queen size variation of a log cabin block. It had half square triangle in the corners, and by turning the blocks we got a secondary pattern with stars and paths. It's from the McCall's Quilting December 2006 issue (see the photo below). Other than that, I have half a dozen quilts in various stages of completion. I have two hourglass baby quilts that are pieced but still need to be quilted. I'm in the middle of two more baby quilts with a central thistle block (the mother is Scottish). I've been sidetracked by a fun and fast bag pattern, and by thinning my fabric stash.
