  1. You can buy iron-on transfer material to print from your inkjet. Also http://www.plaidonline.com/productDetail.asp?itemID=24902 works.
  2. Iron on transfer is fine for t-shirts and other things that you'll throw away in a few years, but for a quilt you need something more permanent. You can buy pre-treated fabric sheets with paper backings that are made to go through your inkjet printer. Read the instructions before buying to be sure you get the right one for your needs. Some can be washed, some need to be heat set. You can find these at most fabric/craft stores. Be sure to include some sort of label for the quilt that identifies the pictures - who, what, when, etc. Twenty or thirty years down the road some of them may be forgotten. The last link is to a Google Image search for "memory quilt." Check out all of the photos for design ideas.
  3. Quilting shops have a product called bubblejet Set. You soak your fabric in it and print the pictures directly on the fabric you a putting in your quilt. There is also a rinse that you use after you print the fabric but I cannot remember the name of the product. This method gives much better results on a quilt than the iron on transfers, the pictures are permanent, the iron on transfers tend to fall off when washed or the quilt is heavily loved.
