- quilter's cache has a ton of patterns online. They don't have celtic knot, but the do have one called celtic sunrise. Here's the link: http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CelticSunriseBlock.html
- Google it they have everything just be sure to specify ,also if you have a scanner scan one blow it up and cut the pattern yourself. This will take a bit more time but a good back up plan.
- I don't know of any sites that have this but try this link http://www.quiltinaday.com/ You can e-mail them and ask if they know. My daughter and I use them all the time in our quilt makeing
- Hi, i will help you find that pattern. I have heard of it in the past. Is that the project you are planning to quilt?
- So far the only one i have seen is the Celtic Star. I have the link here for it. I don't think it's the one yuo wanted, but it's pretty. i may make it. Good luck http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CelticSunriseBlock.html
- It's neither free nor online. The celtic knot quilt pattern is from a book titled "Celtic Quilts" by Beth Ann Williams.
- Look into a craft or fabric store they may have a pattern though its more on the lines of a craft. I have seen many pillows with this symbol,@mitzdiz / making it yourself by blowing up your image will give you just what you want (good advise).
- there are tons and I mean tons of celtic knots with different names. How big of a knot are you looking to make?? My suggestion would be to either look at stained glass patterns such as this : http://chantalstainedglass.50megs.com/2celtichexagon.html But the best, very best place to get patterns for $ is from Scarlett Rose's site: http://www.scarlettrose.com/celtic_quilt_patterns.html She has a great selection and most under $10. I'm currently working on this wall hanging: http://scarlettrose.com/celtic_trilogy.html See how all three knots are different.... There are lots of sites that show you how to draw the knots: http://www.aon-celtic.com/cknotbasic/cknotwork5.html Karen Combs has a great book on using patchwork to make knots: http://www.karencombs.com/books.htm
- Celtic knot (or Celtic applique) is not a specific block pattern, but rather a method of making Celtic knot shapes as far as I know. It can be used as a design on individual blocks combined into a full top or as a decorative border. It is usually done as needle-turn applique or with bias tape.
- try this site [1] there are descriptions of how to create your own KNOTS to APPLIQUE and there are free patterns [2] Done as a quilt block this work requires you to do applique. Most traditional quilters would use BIAS FABRIC STRIPS and would sew them down by hand in two passes or by machine with double needles. [3] INFORMATION about use of bias to make knot designs.
