How do i make a Knot-a-Quilt? I have the basic idea but how big should the squares be and slits?

I have the basic idea of how to make one. But am not sure what sizes the squares should be and how deep i should cut the slits?

Do you mean a "tied" quilt. The squares can be any size you want to use but it is a good idea to tie it every 4-6 inches in a grid pattern. A surgeon's knot is best knot to use. Use a large needle and yarn or a strong quilting thread or crochet thread. I think you can do a Google search for instructions or you may find 'How To' on HGTV Simply Quilts site.
