- Contact a local Quilter. My sister does these and they are great. I am sure there is a quilter in your community, or nearby.
- What a great idea. You can look for patterns or desig something of your own. They have plastic blocks to guide for cutting but card board cut outs work also. There is the basic Crazy design , squares, triangles, oblong, where seams just go all directions , over lapping till you get to size you want then measure off straight and finish. There is the basic checkerboard effect of dark/light/dark squares. You do this in strips of same size squares, then attach stips to each other. Either way, lay it out before sewing or just pin to see how it will look. After top is finished , check all seams for loose areas and adjustments. Purchase batting(flat cotton roll) at fabric area. Tack to back side by hand and all sides. Check for smoothness as you go. Having large flat area to work on will make this easier. Roll section up as you go. Then choose material for back. Wash it to avoid shrinkage. attatche to back in same manner as batting,, some persoms use emborder thread as its stronger for this. Even out all side,, turn in and finish hem. Easier then sounds, hope I explained OK *mamatx
