Where can I find free quilting patterns?
My grandma is on the phone and keeps asking me to look these things up for her. I don't know a lot about quilting patterns or sewing, in general. If you can help, please do. Thank you.

- Here ya go, Gran http://www.google.com/search?q=free+quilt+patterns .
- I love quilting but to be honest the BEST possible place to get quilt patterns are from books so honestly I would go to the library! They have tons of stuff. Otherwise I use this site: http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/ I love the site. It lists hundreds of gorgeous quilts and includes detailed instructions and a really nice finished pattern picture. Good luck!
- http://www.quilterscache.com/AlphabetizedListPageA_F.html I have used this several times and like it. They even show a sample that someone has made from the pattern. Enjoy IndyJane
- Here are more quilt patterns than one grandma can make in a lifetime: http://www.qnm.com/ http://www.quilterscache.com/ http://blockcentral.com/coloringbook.shtml http://quilting.about.com/ http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_quilting/0,1788,HGTV_3298,00.html http://www.quiltingassistant.com/ http://home.howstuffworks.com/quilt-blocks-channel.htm http://thegoldenthimble.com/favoritelinksmain.html
- The library, or just make it up! I'm getting into my first ever quilt. It's a story quilt and I'm pretty much making it up. As long as it all gets sewn together, does it really matter how? (Maybe it does! I'm hypothesising...)
- There is a site http://quilting.about.com that gives free quilt patterns. You can also do a web search "free quilt patterns" or search Yahoo for same.
