Quilt Patchwork Patterns

Need someone to make a quilt. Where do I start?

I have souvenir t-shirts that I no longer want to wear or keep stored away. I thought that using them in a quilt would keep my memories in full view every day as well as serve a functional purpose. I have found shops & web-sites offering books, supplies and classes. I just want to find a person who will utilize my design to make a quilt for me. Where/how do I find a quiltmaker?

  1. Check with your local sewing store.
  2. Find a quilting supply store and ask them for a reference.
  3. Our Wal-mart fabric department keeps a book of people that would do things like that in the local area, I'd bet that they probably do that at all the stores.
  4. Joanne Fabrics............ there's a line of ladies, stay at home moms, grandmas, just waiting for someone to ask them to make them a quilt. I would get an index card, and tell them you predicament, and put it on any craft store that will let you put it up. Like Joannes, or Micheal's, or your local fabric store. or even try your grocery store. Or put an add in the paper. Do you have a grandma? I don't, but if you did, she could ask you to join her, and you'll have alot of quality time with her. I wish I could say the same.
  5. where do you live? i love quilting
